Wang Yi: APEC Shenzhen will focus on openness, innovation and cooperation

China’s commitment to growing together with the Asia-Pacific region is unwavering, and China will translate the goal of building an Asia-Pacific community into action, turning its blueprint into reality, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, is speaking at a press conference on the sidelines of the fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress.
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will focus on the three priorities of openness, innovation and cooperation, and chart the course and rally strengths for Asia-Pacific cooperation, Wang added.
China is ready to promote a restart from APEC Shenzhen toward the goal of an Asia-Pacific community, said Wang.
